Being home, I have made friends with all our wonderful feathered wildlife here in the mountains. Some are friendly, some remote and one in particular - our white cockatoo- is cheeky, greedy and bossy. He torments Toby (our dog) by perching on the railing and walking up and down making noises and flapping his wings at him. Keeps Toby amused though.

The parrots and pigeons are lovely. They fight a little, especially the rosellas, but work it out in the end.
I love watching them, and they are used to me now and don't scatter when I put fresh feed out for them. Aren't they lovely?

What great photos!! isn't the bird life up here amazing! we get caught up watching them for ages, like watching tv! I love the way you describe their personalities.
